Biking is a viable, fun, and healthy transportation choice. This Bike Month, SANDAG provides an entire month of activities to get you GOing by bike. Check out their Bike Month calendar here.
On Thursday, May 19th, we invite you to GO by bike to celebrate SANDAG’s Bike to Work Day! You’ll join thousands of commuters opting to go by bike and if you visit one of the many pit stops throughout the County, you’ll receive a free t-shirt. San Diego has more than 1,715 miles of bikeways in the region and iCommute provides an interactive regional bike map that can help you plan your route.
The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority will host a Bike To Work Day pit stop near the airport. The pit stop will be located on the grass area just north of the Harbor Police Department building along the bike path, across from and south of the entrance to Terminal 1, near the intersection of Harbor Drive and Harbor Island Drive. This is the same location as our previous Bike to Work Day pit stop. The pit stop will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Want to get more involved in the biking community? Check out San Diego County Bike Coalition or Bike SD. You can register for Bike to Work Day 2022 here. Be sure to follow SANDAG on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest Bike Month updates.
