New nonstop routes are always exciting but, what we love even more is gaining new nonstop routes to cities that aren’t currently available from SAN. So when Allegiant recently announced that SAN will gain seasonal nonstop service to five new cities as soon as May…well, let’s just say we are jumping for joy.
Cities that will have twice-weekly flights to/from SAN include:
- Kalispell, Mont. via Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) – beginning May 28.
- Pasco, Wash. via Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) – beginning May 28.
- Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) – beginning June 3.
- Des Moines, Iowa via Des Moines International airport (DSM) – beginning July 1.
Allegiant will also offer four seasonal weekly flights from Mesa Ariz. via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) beginning May 27. While SAN has long had nonstop service to Phoenix-Sky Harbor International (PHX), the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is located 45 minutes east of Downtown Phoenix and will connect San Diego to another airport in the greater Phoenix area.
We know that San Diego is a top destination for those wanting to get outdoors and vacation in a socially distanced manner. We expect these flights will be appreciated by those wanting to come to enjoy some Southern California sunshine. These new routes also provide San Diegans the opportunity to explore historic landmarks and hidden gems across the North and Midwest regions of the United States.
We appreciate Allegiant’s growing commitment to providing low-cost, nonstop service to San Diego. To view schedules, fares, and flight times, please visit allegiant.com.
