San Diego International Airport’s planned replacement for the aging Terminal 1 will be a unique integration of art and architecture, with the façade being designed by renowned artist James Carpenter.

Alaska Airlines has announced it will begin seasonal nonstop service from two Montana cities to San Diego International Airport (SAN) beginning May 20. Alaska Airlines will provide flights between SAN and Kalispell, Mont. via Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) and Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) until September 7.

Today, Japan Airlines (JL) resumed nonstop flights between Tokyo, Japan via Narita International Airport (NRT) and San Diego International Airport (SAN). American Airlines (AA) will code-share on this service resumption. The service will initially operate three times a week with the following schedule:

So when Allegiant recently announced that SAN will gain seasonal nonstop service to five new cities as soon as May…well, let’s just say we are jumping for joy.

Allegiant will soon add seasonal nonstop service from five U.S. cities to San Diego International Airport (SAN). All five cities are new to SAN’s nonstop network and will bring Allegiant’s total nonstop destination offering to 12 during the peak summer travel season. 

SAN is known and loved for a few special attributes, like its abundance of natural light, relaxed atmosphere, and diverse mix of shops and restaurants. But SAN also has some unusual features that may surprise you.
