Frontier Airlines will add seasonal nonstop service between Orlando, Fla. via Orlando International Airport (MCO) and San Diego International Airport (SAN) between November 5, 2022, and January 3, 2023. Flights will operate daily between the two destinations, the flights were last offered by Frontier Airlines in March and April 2021.
Today, Allegiant Air celebrated its first nonstop flight from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to Provo, Utah via Provo Municipal Airport (PVU). Flights operate two times weekly on Thursdays and Sundays and is the only service between the two cities.

In June 2022, San Diego International Airport (SAN) reached a COVID-19 pandemic record number of passengers served in one month, 2,068,397, making it the first time SAN welcomed more than two million passengers since December 2019. When compared year over year, passenger traffic is up 30.2 percent.
