Transit/Roadway Committee
The purpose of the Airport Transit/Roadway Committee is to identify potential enhancements
to the transportation system to serve the airport, and advise the Airport Master
Plan Technical Committee on potential recommendations and transportation improvements
to respective boards with the following goals:
- Meet regularly (or as needed) to discuss both transit and road access to San Diego
International Airport
- Explore and increase opportunities for enhanced transit access to the airport and
surrounding environs
- Share information and data regarding the respective organizations' jurisdiction
and expertise
- Transit - Route information, ridership data, planned facilities
- Road/Freeway - Forecast model data
- Provide input to Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) prepared by SANDAG and Airport
Authority
- Cooperatively present issues and recommendations to respective boards

Tentative 2011 committee meetings will be held on a quarterly basis. Notices
will be sent out approximately 2-3 weeks before meeting occurs.
