High School Outreach: The Airport Authority's team members visit and make informational presentations to
students about the San Diego International Airport.
College Internship
The program and the intern's area of study must be
closely related to the job assignment at the Authority. The intern program is designed to expose students to the wide variety of careers available in the aviation industry, while providing a forum for personal and educational enrichment and teamwork.
- Year Round Internship is offered during the summer, fall, and winter/spring semesters with a maximum of twenty (20) hours per week authorized during the academic school year and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week during summer and school
holidays depending on departmental needs.
- Summer Internship is designed to allow students to participate in a ten (10) week program from June through August (individual start dates may vary) working a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per week.
